About Me
Hi ya! My name is Adelaide and I am the gorgeous long haired torti and white girl and this is my pal Ysabella, she’s the brindle. I am about a year old and Ysabella is about 2 years old.
We arrived at the centre in February along with 10 other cats after we had been living in a multi animal household in poor conditions.
Due to our previous living situation it is unlikely we have had much handling in our lives. This means that we are both very nervous girls and very wary of you humans and what your intentions are to us! We do both hiss at you, but are not aggressive towards to you, we just prefer to keep our distance. We can both be stroked but we do not enjoy it and at the moment we would rather you just let us be. Ysabella is slightly more confident than me, so she may gain her confidence quicker than me. We LOVE our food though and the staff think that will be the way to win our trust as now everyday we are always up at our door at dinner time excited for our food to come and this is making us slightly braver around the staff.
We are looking for a calm, stress free home with new owners who have the patience and understanding that it will likely take us a little while to settle into our new home and trust you. The staff are hopeful though that once we do start to feel safe in a new home, we will gain our confidence and blossom into loving, friendly girls.
We will need to be homed away from any busy roads as it’s unlikely we have been outside before and we would need to be homed with no children. We could live with other cats though as we are used to that and if we see your cat(s) enjoying a fuss and trusting you, that may help us to settle and trust quicker potentially.
