About Me
Hi everyone, my name is Honeywood3 and I’m the gorgeous ginger boy and this is my sister Honeywood4, the cute black and white girl. We are both roughly a year and a half.
This is our second time here at the centre. We came in originally in June 2021 as part of a feral colony. We did then find a home in October but have been returned recently as sadly we were just not settling well into the new home.
Having lived as ferals for the start of our life this has meant we haven’t had much human contact so we are very wary of your intentions to us. Whilst we will take treats from your hand and you are able to stroke us both a little, we do not enjoy it and do not understand why you keep wanting to touch us!
If we are to go to a home again, our new owners will need to be really prepared for the fact that it may take us many months or years possibly to get used to living in a home and accepting affection. We would both be happy to live with other cats, I especially love other cats and am always chatting away to them or meowing sweetly when I hear them here at the centre. The staff think this may help us in a new home as well, if we see another cat receiving love and enjoying home life, it may just help us to realise it’s ok.
We would not like to live with children at all though as we need to be able to have a calm, stress free home to go to. If we cannot find a home soon, then the staff think we would probably be ok living as outdoor cats at a farm or stables say and helping you out with some mousing duties!
Will you give us a chance?
