Home Environment

Ginger and Tabby are looking for a quiet home, without any children but would be okay living with a calm dog again. They would both need access to a secure cat proof garden or catio due to Tabby having FIV.

Personality

Both were very nervous and unsure of human interaction when they first arrived, but over time they have started to come out of their shell, though they still prefer to stay snuggled up together in their hidey bed where they feel safe. They do offer a little hiss when you first meet them, and as they are best friends they are a little protective of each other, but they do allow the staff the give them strokes and sometimes they even offer some blinkies in return! They are very shy but sweet cats, who will need an owner who can give them some time and patience to settle.

Health

As previously mentioned, Tabby is FIV positive which he will be on foster for, he has also recently been diagnosed with hyperextension of both front legs, he doesn’t require surgery for this but is now on long term pain meds to keep him comfortable.

When Ginger arrived we noticed he had a fracture in his lower jaw from an old injury but requires no treatment for that, he has stiffness around his hips and dislocating kneecaps so is on medication for this which he is really good with and will be on the centres foster scheme for.
Both required dental work whilst having their health checks.

Background

Arrived in September 2025 after living as a stray and the lady who was feeding them was going in to a care home.
