About Me
Hello, my name is Mitzi and I am a 10 year old gorgeous tabby and white female.
I came to the centre in April as my owner sadly passed away.
I am finding centre life very tough and don’t like it here much at all. I spend my day hiding in my bed or under my blanket and I let the staff know I’m not happy when they come into me with a hiss and maybe a smack if they push their luck with me too soon. In my previous home I was a friendly girl who liked a fuss on my terms but I do have a timid nature. If the staff just sit and talk to me gently then I do purr away and if they are patient with me, then I will get brave and come and enjoy a fuss from them. Once I’m really brave I’ll even let them pick me up for a little cuddle. I did enjoy sitting on a lap in my former home so I would love to get back to being that happy girl in a home environment.
I will need a calm patient owner who will be able to handle my swipes initially while I settle and will help me to see that I’m safe and loved and can be the friendly girl the staff can see I truly want to be. I haven’t lived with other cats before but the people who brought me here felt I would probably be ok living with another one as long as they liked other cats.
