About Me
Howdy there, My names Texas the beautiful white and torti girl and this is my best friend Dallas. I am just over 14 years old and Dallas here is just over 9 years old, we both came to the February as we had been found living in very dirty conditions and our owner just couldn’t look after us.
We are both the most loving girls and are so happy to see new faces and meet new people, we love to get lots of strokes and will both push in to you for more attention and Dallas even pushes me out the way! We can be a little wary to begin with especially if a lot of people come in at once but it doesn’t take us long to get used to you.
We were both so poorly when arriving at the centre and I in particular was extremely underweight and everyone was very worried about me, we both had loose stools and were covered in it when arriving and were also covered in fleas. The staff were great and took care of us and gave us lots of yummy food to eat to help me put on the weight. We did have to have a few weeks worth of treatment before we could then be spayed and once that was done we were both feeling much better as it turned out we both had infections, our stools are now much better however Dallas has been sick a few times so did have to have a little bit of treatment for this. She will be covered under the centre’s part foster scheme for 3 months in case this continues in a home but the vet team are sure the vomiting is stress related so hopefully once settled in a home this should stop. We did also find out that Dallas has a grade 1 heart murmur but it doesn’t need treatment. It has also since been discovered that I have low level kidney disease and I’m hyperthroid, I am on medication for these but I am the best girl for it! I will also be covered under the centre’s part foster scheme for these 2 issues and will need a blood test in September. Please don’t let any of these things put you off as we are such sweet girlies and really deserve to find our forever home soon!
We would love to find a home with someone who has got lots of time and love to give as we truly do deserve to be spoilt, we have never been outside so would love after all these years to finally feel grass under our little feet! We would be fine living with slightly older children but would prefer to be the only pets in our new home.
