About Me
Hello there my names Tuca the very sweet grey tabby girl who is 9 years old. I came to the centre in March as my owner was no longer allowed to keep me in their home.
I am a sweet girl but can be a bit funny with people I don’t know and will even huff out my cheeks and snort at you, if you sit with me and call out my name I will soon come out and give you a sniff but I can sometimes nip at your hands if I am not sure. Once I relax around you I am the sweetest girl and will rub all around you and even let you rub my tummy. I staff have found that I am more territorial of my bedding so it is best to let me come to you.
When arriving at the centre I did have quite sore, scabby skin which the vets put down to me having a bit of a flea problem. I had to have a steroid injection for this and some flea treatment and I am now much better, I am still a little scabby so I am on part foster for this incase it flairs up in the home but the vet team hope it will actually clear up better when I am not at the centre and feel less stressed.
As I can be a bit territorial I would be better suited to no or older children. I would prefer to be the only pet in my new home as well as I do get quite stressed around the other animals here at the centre. I would love an owner who is okay with my sassier side and would be okay with me taking a little bit of time to relax in a new home
