About Me
Hi there, my name is Lucky and I am that handsome 12 and a half years old tabby boy you can see there!
I arrived at the centre in February as my owner was sadly going into a care home. When I first came in the staff noticed that I was quite a big boy at 9kg and my front feet were funny! The vet said that due to my weight my wrists had collapsed and I also have a deformed front left foot that you’ll notice if you come up to meet me!
Due to my deformed foot my claws do have to be cut a little more often than normal but I’m a good boy for it!
When I first arrived at the centre the vet noticed I needed a dental, but due to my weight it was too risky to put me under the anesthetic, so it has been agreed that I can go to my forever home as long as my owners would be okay to bring me back for my dental once I’ve lost the weight! I’ve lost over a kilo since being here but the vet would like me down to 6kg before he would be happy to perform my dental!
I would be best suited to a home that had lots of space for me to move around so I can try and get this weight off quickly, I would also need to be kept on a diet of no dry food so I don’t put the weight back on, I am a bit of a fussy eater here and go through stages of liking different things, but hopefully once I’m settled in a home I’ll make my mind up what food I like!
Don’t be put off by all this though as I’m the loveliest boy who loves being in your company so much! I get so happy and excited when people come to see me and meow away at them in greeting and I can’t wait to get fussed lots. I’d make a lovely companion for someone.
I have never been outside before so would need to be homed away from busy roads so I can safely explore the outside for the first time!
